About FADE

Our new FADE Eyebrow Pigment Collection is ideal for artists and clients who want beautiful eyebrows without committing to a lifelong shape or color. FADE is a collection of 8 hybrid pigments that is comprised of mainly inorganic ingredients. It is designed to visibly fade into a softer version of the original color within 12-24 months of application, however, results will vary depending on the client and technique. FADE pigments are EU REACH-compliant and have internally-corrected ingredients to prevent warm/red fading.

FAQs

What is the difference between FADE and I LOVE INK?

FADE is a hybrid line of pigments that is comprised of mainly inorganic ingredients and uses less organic ingredients compared to I LOVE INK. They are both hybrid pigment lines.

Is FADE considered permanent or semi-permanent pigment?

Any deposit of color into the skin is considered permanent.

What are inorganic ingredients?

Inorganic or iron-oxide-based ingredients are derived from natural minerals and tend to appear more earthy and muted in color.

Why do these ingredients fade faster out of the skin?

These ingredients tend to fade faster out of the skin because of their particle sizes. Inorganic ingredients have particles that are usually larger in size (in comparison to organic ingredients) thus they might take longer to deposit into the skin. As a result, pigment inks that are solely comprised of inorganic ingredients might be more forgiving and might fade at a faster rate compared to hybrid lines for example.

What ingredients are found in FADE?

FADE includes the following inorganic ingredients: Red Iron Oxide (CI 77491), Yellow Iron Oxide (CI 77492), Chromium Oxide Green (CI 77288), Black Iron Oxide (CI 77499), Titanium Dioxide White (CI 77891), and Carbon Black (CI 77266). It also includes an organic ingredient: Yellow 138 (CI 56300). In addition, FADE includes the following additives: Water, Ethanol, PEG-8, PVP/VA Copolymer, Glycerin, and Propylene Glycol.

How long does FADE last in the skin?

FADE pigments will gently fade into a softer version of the original color within 12-24 months in most applications however, results will vary depending on client and technique.

What is the shelf life of FADE?

Unopened pigments have a shelf life of 4 years while opened pigments have a shelf life of 6 months.

Is FADE safe?

All FADE pigments have been thoroughly tested by an external, accredited lab to ensure that the collection is free of any harmful microorganisms and are fully safe for consumer use throughout its shelf life. See the MSDS for each pigment here.

Are FADE pigments warm, neutral, or cool?

The FADE Eyebrow Pigment Collection comes in a range of 8 colors with varying temperatures of warm, neutral, and cool. The icons on our labels show you what each pigment temperature is.

Can you mix FADE pigments?

While they don't require any mixing, you certainly can mix them within the range to create a customized color for your client. Note that these pigments should not be mixed with other lines or brands outside of FADE.

Do you need to modify FADE pigments?

Can FADE pigments be used with manual and machine methods?

Yes, FADE pigments are ideal for all manual techniques like microblading & microshading, as well as all techniques of machine work.

Can you remove FADE?

Once any pigment or ink is deposited into the skin, 100% removal is never guaranteed. However, several sessions of removal treatments such as saline or laser performed by a professional technician should effectively lighten the color if desired.

Previously, organic pigment was used on my client’s brows. Can FADE be used on top of it?

Yes, it can. You can expect the new layers to fade to a softer version of the original color in 12-24 months.
